My family and I have lived in Northville since 2015, however, my husband grew up here and graduated from NHS. I was raised in a military family and moved around the US (and abroad). Our decision to move to Northville from Nevada offered our children the sense of community and stability that I missed out on as a military kid. We have two children who will be in-coming 6th and 9th graders this year.
Since moving to Northville, I have become an engaged member of the PTA community. I’ve held several Executive Board positions at Moraine Elementary beginning in 2017 as Vice President following in 2018 as President. I continued on in the position of Membership Chair until the end of this past school year. 
At Hillside Middle I began in 2020 as the Secretary and I am currently serving my second year as PTSA President. I’ve been involved in the Elementary Science Olympiad program since 2016, coaching team events as well as serving as the Co-Head Coach for the Moraine Elementary Team.
My children are both active members of the Scouting Community. 
I’ve volunteered with our local Cub Scout Pack 721 with my son. As he has transitioned up in the ranks I am now a Committee Member of Troop 777 and currently hold the position of Financial Assistant for the troop. My daughter has been in Girl Scouts at Moraine with Troop 40425 and I’ve supported her troop as a Co-Leader this past year planning the activities to earn several merit
badges along the way.
I attended college at Georgia Southern University, where I earned my BA in English and a Minor in Chemistry. After college, I joined the Peace Corps and served for 2 years in Togo, West Africa as a Community Health volunteer. I worked in collaboration with the Carter Center’s world-wide initiative, Global 2000, to eradicate Guinea Worm throughout sub-Saharan Africa and also worked at a grassroots level to focus on Maternal and Child health in remote villages. After I completed my service in the Peace Corps, I moved to Nevada. I began working with a Las Vegas based Real Estate Development firm and started as a Property Manager. 
Our firm developed a luxury high-rise condominium in downtown Las Vegas where I acted as Owner’s Representative during construction. After the project was completed, I made the decision to become a stay at home parent with the birth of our daughter. This past year I joined the staff at Moraine Elementary as a part-time Lunch/Recess Monitor and have enjoyed learning even more about our Northville Public Schools from a different viewpoint.
